Deanna Robinson, Board Member

Introducing Deanna Robinson, a founding board member at Step 1 Recovery. Deanna marks her sobriety on October 28th, 2019, a personal milestone that fuels her passion for outreach and recovery support. Over the past two years, she’s worked diligently with the Jake Foundation and the Charleston Center, focusing on getting people out of homelessness and into recovery in Charleston.

Driven by her hands-on experience in community service, including key initiatives like Rocky's Coat Drive and Toys for Good alongside Cyrus Kamini, Deanna recognized a critical gap in support for long-term treatment. This realization was pivotal in establishing Step 1 Recovery Resources. Deanna’s vision is clear: ensure that no individual is denied access to long-term recovery due to financial barriers, striving to save one life at a time.

A proud native of Charleston, Deanna channels her energy into giving back to the community that raised her, living by the creed, "Giving back what was freely given to me, saving one life at a time."
